Teen & Adolescent Therapy

Individual Therapy for Teens in Raleigh, North Raleigh, and Durham, NC
Being a teenager today comes with unique challenges, including pressures from school, family, work, social media, and physical changes.
Many teens may feel overwhelmed by the pressure to fit in, achieve, or be perfect, while feeling like others do not understand the level of stress they are experiencing. Teen therapy provides a safe, confidential space for teens ages 13–17 to express themselves, process difficult feelings, and develop coping strategies.
Understanding Teen & Adolescent Therapy
Teen therapy provides a space for adolescents to talk openly about their experiences, thoughts, emotions, relationships, and challenges. Therapy is tailored to each teen, focusing on their unique experiences and needs.
At Birch Therapy, sessions may include talking, role-playing, somatic work, and walk-and-talk therapy. Therapy can help teens manage intense emotions, increase self-awareness, navigate relationships, strengthen executive functioning skills, and make healthier decisions about their future, school, and social life.
Teen therapy is not just about addressing problems. It is about providing teens with tools they can use to navigate this season of life with greater confidence.
