CAITLIN LANTZ, LCSW

Life can be incredibly hard, and it's not something we're meant to navigate alone. Caitlin believes therapy should be a place where people can show up exactly as they are, without feeling like they have to hide parts of themselves or be put together. People often carry a great deal of shame, and healing happens when individuals feel deeply understood, accepted, and safe enough to tell the truth about what they're experiencing.

Caitlin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in child welfare, community mental health, adoption, university settings, and private practice.

As an attachment therapist, Caitlin enjoys helping people understand the relationship patterns that shape their lives. She works with anxiety, relationship concerns, family-of-origin issues, people-pleasing, perfectionism, codependency, life transitions, and attachment. Whether someone is navigating dating, work burnout, marriage, parenting, family conflict, friendships, workplace relationships, or learning to have a healthier relationship with themselves, she enjoys helping clients better understand the "why" behind their patterns while discovering new ways of moving forward.

Caitlin's approach is warm, collaborative, curious, and down-to-earth. She values genuine conversations, thoughtful questions, humor when it's helpful, and creating a relationship where clients feel both supported and challenged in ways that encourage meaningful growth. She believes lasting change comes from understanding ourselves with compassion rather than criticism.

Caitlin has received advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), EMDR, Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), Gottman Method, attachment-based approaches, and other evidence-based therapies. Caitlin hopes clients leave each session not only feeling heard, but with greater clarity, new perspectives, and practical tools they can use throughout the week.

MY WHY

Throughout my personal and professional journey, I have come to believe that so much of what we carry is rooted in shame—the belief that we are too much, not enough, or somehow falling short. I feel honored to create a space where people can show up as they are, feel deeply understood, and begin to approach themselves and their relationships with more compassion.

MY STYLE

I am an active therapist who listens deeply, asks thoughtful questions, helps connect the dots, and offers insight and practical tools you can carry with you outside of session. My goal is for you to leave therapy not only feeling understood, but also with a deeper understanding of yourself and the ability to create meaningful change. I believe therapy can hold both the hard moments and the lighter ones—and if we can find some humor along the way, even better.
